That's Amore!

Cory and I arrived in Rome on Sept. 4 with very little sleep on the 9 hour flight. Getting through customs was a breeze (literally just got a stamp and kept walking out). Rome is an amazing city, everything here is older than anything in Vancouver and every other building you pass by is picture worthy.

After checking in, we headed to the Colisseum and Palantino. The ruins at the Palatino are very grandiose and you have to wonder how much manpower it took to build such architectural greats. The Colisseum was pretty neat too. Too bad Cory couldn't run around shouting "Spaniard!". After a few hours of snapping photos, we headed back and took a quick nap to get over the jet lag. Did I mention how hot it is here?? Over 29 degrees Celsius during the day. For dinner, we headed to the Triton Fountain where Cory had one of the best lasagnes and I one of the best pizzas ever.

Today we started bright and early on our tour of the Vatican. It is very awe inspiring, even for non-religious people such as us. Unfortunatley we couldn't take any pics in the Sistine Chapel but we did get a lot of St. Peter's Basilica and Square. Afterwards, we hung out at the Spanish steps and took tons of photos.

For dinner, we headed to the Trevi fountain, Pantheon and Piazza Navona.

Gotta run, internet time is up...ò
